All About Tamar House

Our mission: To help all of our residents enjoy the highest quality of life through the services, care and support we offer at Tamar House.
Tamar House is part of the wider Abbeyfield Society which was set up in 1956 with the aim of providing quality housing, support and care for older people from all walks of life.

Traditionally, Abbeyfield services have been managed by local, volunteer-led societies that are independent non-profit making organisations, affiliated to the Abbeyfield Society. Today, Abbeyfield Tamar House is one of 500 houses and homes here in the UK all with a dedicated committed staff and 4,000+ volunteers.

Whilst no two Abbeyfield care homes look the same, all our staff our committed to Abbeyfield's values, and you can expect the same high standards of service in all Abbeyfield care homes.
